Prior to his full time construction career, he spent time at Hampshire College, delving deep into the world of experimental electronic and improvised musical composition. It was there that he first experimented in metal work, designing, machining, and welding a custom bicycle frame and trailer. College soon led to a drive for world exploration, a catalyst of sorts, propelling Brian into a myriad of eclectic excursions. Among the most memorable; hiking the entirety of the Long Trail, motorcycling across the USA, and experiencing the people and places of Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Jamaica.

As part-owner of CHC, Brian hopes to continue to assist in the company’s push towards a realization of more challenging and creative projects. He finds inspiration in the works of Antonio Gaudi, Frank Gehry, and Paolo Soleri, the sculptures of Angel Botello, the poetry of Neruda, Rimbaud, and Whitman, and the music of John Cage, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane.

On the weekends, Brian can be found hiking a mountain by day and DJing or playing live shows around Burlington by night.
